Welcome to the Trillium Services website

     Trillium Services was founded in 1988 to provide technical assistance to small and medium sized theaters.  While we started out by providing technicians to assist in the installation of scenery and lighting, we quickly earned a reputation as the company to call to solve any problem.  We owe that reputation to our technicians whose quality workmanship, attention to detail and breadth of knowledge have earned the highest praise from our clients.  As we grew into our niche in the industry, we specialized in installing scenery built by other companies. On most assignments we would provide a technical director who would work with the local crew from the moment the truck arrived to opening night to make sure that the production was flawless.  These assignments often required months on the road for our technicians and after a few years the fun of International travel wore off and we all wanted to spend more time at home helping local theaters so we returned to our roots - helping small theaters create outstanding productions and coming up with solutions to "impossible" challenges.

    As the entertainment industry has evolved, we too have adapted as large companies have bought up their competitors creating a world where entire sections of the country are dominated by one company.  In this new world, small theaters and educational institutions have been left behind as there isn't much profit in minor modifications and repairs.  These organizations often find themseleves put on the back burner while the big companies pursue big jobs.  Being a small operation we realized that this shift in the industry was a blessing, not a curse.  We decided stop trying to compete with the big guys for the big jobs and instead to focus on helping the little guy.  And we and our customers couldn't be happier!!  There is nothing more satisfying than helping the Director of a High School musical get that lighting effect they wanted, saving the IT Director who has a broken lighting system and no idea how to fix it or seeing the surprise on an Executive Director's face when you tell her they don't have to pay thousands of dollars for an annual service retainer.
